The 'arts4youth' Drawing Competion

We at rock4youth are currently applying for a grant from the Milton Keynes Community Foundation to run a Drawing Competition open to all young people in the Milton Keynes area. In the 5 years that rock4youth has been going, we have found that the greatest gift you can give young peope to nurture their creativity is a showcase for their talent.

We have already done this with a number of talented singers, actors, dancers etc. especially with the upcoming movie, and now we would like to apply this to art. We have put together a package that would maximise the visibility for the submitted work which includes a special 40 page book, local exhibitions, and a specially designed website. They will also be displayed at the Movie Premier, and finally as an integral part of the Movie in the form on an opening credits animation, which has the potential to be viewed world-wide.

The competition will have 2 age categories, 6-11 and 12-18. Within the 2 age categores will be an award for best drawing standard and one for best concept. The latter means that, even if drawing isn't the individuals greatest talent, you can still win with a great idea. Please click on the tabs on the right for further info.
